Arsenal have been forced to pay out big refunds to 7,139 corporate fans after missing out on the Champions League.

Supporters in the premium Club Level are getting a refund of £475 after Arsenal missed out on Europe’s top competition for the second season running.

Tickets in the posh seats have been amended to £5,540 which is an eight per cent refund on the original price and it will hit the club hard.

It is believed that the lower take up of Club Level and season tickets was one of the biggest barometers which persuaded Arsenal to make the change with Arsene Wenger going at the end of the season.

The club even took out a full page advert in its own programme for Club Level tickets recently when the idea of the Emirates would be that there would be a waiting list.

However, there are still some available and, despite the announcement prompting a small upturn, most are waiting to see who the new manager is.

Some fans are complaining about the club taking so long to make refunds with a letter from Arsenal stating it would be between “four to is weeks.”

Arsenal announced last year they were installing 780 extra Club Level tickets to take the Emirates attendance to 60,600 over the next two years.

They clearly put a great level of importance on Club Level sales to help match day revenue.

Following the disappointing result of the match last night, it has been confirmed that we will be competing in the UEFA Europa League for Season 2018/19.

As per last season, an 8% refund will be credited to you via the card you used to pay for your renewal within the next five to six weeks.

The amended price of your 2018/19 season fee will be £5,450.00 , which reflects a reduction of £475.00.

Your season ticket still entitles you to come to every competitive first team home game during Season 2018/19.

Please note that any outstanding Ticket Exchange credit on your account will also be credited to your card.

If you have any queries regarding the refund, please contact the Platinum Memberships Team on 0345 262 0001 (or +44 (207) 619 5005 if calling from abroad) or via email at platinum@arsenal.co.uk.

Thank you for your continued support.

Yours sincerely,

Tom McCann
