Manchester United star Juan Mata has emerged as a transfer target for former club Valencia. The Spaniard is out of contract in the summer and a decision has yet to be made on whether the Red Devils will activate a one-year extension buried into his current deal.

The 29-year-old has struggled to make an impact this season and could leave for a second time with Jose Mourinho as his manager, reports the Daily Star.

Mata spent four seasons at Valencia before sealing a move to Chelsea in 2011. The attacking midfielder was then sold by current boss Mourinho to United in 2013.

Meanwhile, Jose Mourinho has earmarked PSG star Lucas Moura as the potential replacement for the former Chelsea man.

PSG have reportedly put a £30 million price tag on midfielder Lucas Moura as Manchester United prepare to make a bid for the Brazil intenational.

Moura was seen as a hot prospect when PSG forked out £42 million to prise him away from Sao Paulo in 2012.

But the 25-year-old has barely played this season, making just six appearances, and now looks set to leave the club.

Manchester United have been put on red alert as they look to add further to their attacking options, and France Football report that PSG are looking to recoup at least £30 million of their initial investment to let Moura go.

Jose Mourinho's side look set to lose attacking midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan as he makes the switch to Arsenal, with Alexis Sanchez moving the other way.
