After suffering a humiliating defeat in the hands of their rivals Barcelona, Spanish giants Real Madrid are planning a purge of at least top 3 players who have been considered a baggage, Spanish media reveals.

According to Spanish media outlet Diario Gol Real Madrid’s President Florentino Perez is angry after the Spanish champions were drubbed at home by Barcelona in their last match. Perez is said to have visited the dressing after game, where talked to the players.

Midfielders Matteo Kovacic and Casemiro have been pin-pointed as possible casualties who could be offloaded as soon as possible. Perez is also said to have told striker Karim Benzema to his face that El Classico match was his last against Barcelona in a Los Blancos shirt.

Benzema is also reported to have been earmarked to be offloaded in January transfer window, with Arsenal thought to be the possible destination. Kovacivc has also received interest from Manchester clubs where Pep Guardiola and Jose Mourinho are said to be battling for the signature of the midfielder.

Perez has also thought of the midfielder Casemiro, who stirred last season the holding midfield as a player who has a lot of baggage.

However, other names such as Gareth Bale could be headed to the exit door as Manchester United is said to be keen on bringing back the former Spurs hitman to English premier league.
