Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo feels Lionel Messi and Barcelona should offer a guard of honour after retaining their Club World Cup title. The Portuguese struck a superb free-kick against Gremio to clinch another title for the Champions League holders over the Copa Libertadores champions.
And Ronaldo insists their achievement deserves a sign of respect from their La Liga rivals at the Bernabeu.

"It would be nice and I would like Barcelona to give us a guard of honour," Ronaldo remarked.
"I hope we win that game too so that the league is still alive for Real Madrid.
"We have to enjoy every moment because we don't know what will happen in the future."

The Spanish champions are eight points behind the Blaugrana in the title race, with city rivals Atletico moving five clear during their mid-season absence to represent UEFA at FIFA's tournament in Abu Dhabi.
