Paul Pogba will learn next week whether he needs surgery on his hamstring injury.

The Manchester United midfielder suffered the knock earlier this month during his side's 3-0 Champions League win over Basel.

His boss Jose Mourinho has been non-committal about the length of the Frenchman's absence, but The Sun expect a decision to be made next week on whether he goes under the knife.

They quote finish surgeon Sakari Orava, who operated on Barcelona's Ousmane Dembele last week, as saying: "The decision on surgery will be made next week

"His injury is a little different to Dembele, so he could heal without surgery."

In Pogba's absence, Unite continued their impressive start to the season with victory over Southampton thanks to Romelu Lukaku's strike.
