Nzoia United pipped Bondo United FC 2-0 during the round of 64 of Gotv Shield Cup at Moi Stadium, Kisumu yesterday.

Brian Yakhama put Nzoia ahead in the 23rd minute. Benjamin Muchuma scored the second in the 62nd minute for the dominant Nzoia Sugar.

Hillary Wandera, Lodaket Jonathan and Yakhama troubled Bondo United goalkeeper Michael Odhiambo, who kept on blaming his defenders Regan Otieno and Derick Ochieng for not shielding him from danger.

It was just a matter of time before their efforts paid off as Kennedy Orwa set up an unmarked Yakhama to score the first goal. [Phillip Orwa]
