Jurgen Klopp has made contact with the striker’s representatives about a possible switch to Anfield this summer- The ="http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4594312/Liverpool-s-Jurgen-Klopp-makes-contact-Mbappe-s-agent.html" target="_blank">Daily Mail Klopp is prepared to mix it with Europe’s big boys for the teenage sensation, who is the hottest property in world football and expected to become the world’s costliest player if he leaves Monaco.

Real Madrid, Arsenal, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are all fighting it out for the French international, who bagged 26 goals in 44 games for the French champions last term.

Mbappe could be showcasing his talents in the prestige friendly against England on Tuesday.

The 18-year-old was a late sub in the World Cup qualifying defeat to Sweden last Friday but should start in Paris.

Liverpool have been monitoring Mbappe’s rapid rise over the last year, which has seen the teenager become a firm fixture at the Stade Louis II stadium.

Klopp does not want other clubs to steal a march on Liverpool in the race for Mbappe and has held preliminary talks with his agent.

Monaco have already lost Bernardo Silva to Manchester City, while defender Benjamin Mendy is undecided about his future and is said to be on the radar of Manchester City, Chelsea and Manchester United.

The French champions face further losses with Tiemoue Bakayoko looking Chelsea-bound and Manchester United chasing Brazilian midfielder Fabinho.

Monaco boss Leonardo Jardim will be desperate to hold on to the rest of his squad for at least another season as they look to defend their Ligue 1 title and go again in the Champions League.
