La Liga champions are set to sign 16-year-old Brazilian, Vinicius Junior, according to Sky Sports.

The little-known teenager from Rio de Janeiro suburbs, grabbed attention in 2015, when he helped his country win the South American U15 Championships in Colombia, scoring six goals.

Early this year, Vinicius was named the best player during South American U17 tournament after helping Brazil clinch the title for the 12th time scoring seven goals in the process.

After making his professional debut few days ago, since joining his current club Flamengo six years ago, Vinicius is set to become the most expensive teenager in the word after Real Madrid agreed to pay £38m(approx. Ksh. 5b) for his services.

He will follow the likes of Neymar Junior and Gabriel Jesus, who signed for Barcelona and Manchester City respectively at their early ages. Neymar signed for the Catalans at the age of 21 while Gabriel signed for the Citizens at 19.

Real Madrid will wait until June 2018 to officially sign the teenager who will be 18 then.
