Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Victor Wanyama has revealed how he initially struggled in the Premier League.
Wanyama arrived in Britain in 2011 when he joined Scottish giants Celtic from Belgian side Beerschot AC.
He then moved down to the Premier League two years later as a £12.5 million signing for Southampton and joined Spurs in the summer for £11m.
In a longer version of an interview published on Tottenham’s official website, the 25-year-old said it took him six months to adapt to the Premier League.

“Southampton are a great club and it was a big step because the Premier League was a test for me with the pace and the physicality,” said the midfielder as quoted by the club’s official website.
“I needed to adjust and it took me six months. After that, I was able to click and perform.”
The midfielder has been an ever-present in the starting XI this campaign and made 37 appearances across all competitions, including featuring in every Premier League game.
