Menengai School are the new Davies Cup 15s rugby champions. They achieved the feat after beating stubborn defending champions Chavakali High School 14-3 in a tough match of the eight team invitational tournament at the winners’ backyard over the weekend.

Anthony Ndung’u shot Menengai into the lead through a drop goal before Austin Sikutwa added penalty for a 6-3 half time lead after Jacob Oluoch had earlier set the pace for the defending champions with a penalty in the early minutes of the match.

Menengai took advantage of the home support to sink in more points with Bonaventure Wasonga scoring from a drop goal.
