ATHLETICS: Njeru to defend title in South Imenti race

Defending champions Pauline Njeru and Thomas James Lukomwa lead other road racers to this year’s Safaricom Imenti South Road Race at Nkubu Stadium this morning.

The event which has continued to attract interest from local athletes and other elite runners from athletics rich Rift Valley and Nyahururu region is expected to host over 700 participants as it celebrate its tenth anniversary.

“I am glad that this event has lived up to its expectations as we celebrate 10 years since its establishment. We have seen great athletes from this region represent Kenya in local and international meets,” said Kimathi Mutuerandu, the LOC chairman.
