Jose Mourinho was impressed by Paul Pogba’s performance during Manchester United’s game against Leicester City, but had one word of advice.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has fired a warning shot at star midfielder Paul Pogba despite the huge win over defending champions Leicester City. The outspoken Portuguese tactician was speaking to journalists after the morale-boosting win over the Foxes after a terrible week that saw them lose three games in a row.

When asked about Pogba’s brilliant performance that saw him score his first goal for the Red Devils since his much-publicized return from Juventus, the ex-Chelsea boss revealed that the 23-year-old has to be consistent in the upcoming matches. Pogba had an impressive debut for the 20-time Premier League champions against Southampton but he seemed to have put his feet off the pedal. But his promising performance against Leicester City could be a sign of brighter days to come.

Mourinho surprised fans by benching captain Wayne Rooney and Marouane Fellaini against Leicester City. This move was widely seen as a warning shot to the club’s players as far as their individual performances are concerned. Although he admitted that the decision to bench Rooney was not the reason why they won the match by a huge margin, many fans believed that the England captain and his Belgian counterpart were better off starting from the bench.
