West Brom to be sold to Chinese investment group

West Brom are set to become the first Chinese owned Premier League side.

According to The Sun, Baggies chairman Jeremy Peace has agreed to sell a controlling 88 per cent of the club to a Chinese investment group led by entrepreneur Guochuan Lai.

The said deal was agreed in June and is dependent on approval from the Premier League and the Financial Conduct Authority.

Hull City is also expected to follow the same route as Nice owner Chien Lee is said to be in talks with the club.
