Chelsea still want Spain striker Alvaro Morata despite his move from Juventus to his parent club Real Madrid.

The Champions League winners have activated a £23million buyback clause in the 23-year-old’s contract to take him back to the Bernabeu.

Had Morata been sold to any other club by Juve the Italian champions would have been able to demand around £45million.

Instead any profit from Morata’s sale will go to Madrid should they choose to cash in.

Both Chelsea and Arsenal remain interested in the marksman who has netted twice for his country at Euro2016 and helped Juve to clinch a fifth successive Italian title.
