Bobby Williamson will be facing his former employers Uganda for the first time since parting ways in 2013.

This is after the reigning Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup champions Kenya were drawn in the same group with the 13 time winners in this year’s edition of the regional tournament slated for November 21-6 December in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

As per the official draws conducted yesterday in Nairobi, Harambee Stars and Uganda Cranes will battle it out with Burundi and Zanzibar for the two Group B quarter-finals spots.

In an interview with Feverpitch, Cecafa Secretary General Nicholas Musonye denounced the earlier draws that were circulating across the region a few days ago.

“We don’t know where those draws came from. Those were not our draws.

“Somebody just decided to sit down and cook that draw. I really don’t know who did it. This is the official draw,” said Musonye.

Harambee Stars and Uganda Cranes will renew their rivalry when they take to the pitch on Sunday November 22 in a repeat of the 2012 final which Uganda won 2 - 1.

Hosts Ethiopia headlines Group A which has Rwanda, Somalia and Tanzania while 2013 losing finalists Sudan will face neighbours South Sudan, Djibouti and guest team Malawi in Group C.

Burundi will take on Zanzibar in the opening match on November 21 before Ethiopia lock horns with Rwanda in day one’s matches.
