Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal said Friday he expects Angel Di Maria to join the club's US tour party this weekend, brushing off speculation linking the unsettled Argentine with a move to Paris Saint Germain.

Van Gaal said Di Maria was due to report for United duty on Saturday along with Argentina team-mate Marcos Rojo and Mexican striker Javier Hernandez.

All three players were excused the opening phase of United's four-match tour owing to international commitments and injury.

Di Maria's future at Old Trafford has been the subject of intense speculation, with some reports saying United had given permission to French side PSG to begin negotiations with the player.

Asked when Di Maria, Rojo and Hernandez were expected in California, van Gaal said: "I expect them tomorrow because we have communicated on that and they have responded to that."

Van Gaal waved off questions about Di Maria's possible move.

"I'm not answering questions about transfers or the transfer process," van Gaal said, adding only that Di Maria would play no part in United's friendly with Barcelona on Saturday.

"For the game no he cannot play," he said. "When you come out of your holidays you cannot play. That's out of the question."
