Twitter table shows Chelsea fans the least passionate in Premier League

Chelsea aren't use to being bottom of the table but in today's Alternative Premier League table that's exactly where they are.

Jose Mourinho's boys won the Premier League and League Cup double last season and were widely regarded as the best team around last season.

They also had SIX players in the Team of the Year with star playmaker Eden Hazard taking the PFA Player of the Year crown and Mourinho taking home Manager of the Year.

But while Blues fans have been getting used to being the best of everything there is one table they aren't top of. In fact they are BOTTOM.

And that's the Most Passionate Premier League Fans table, put together by creative communications agency Shine Communications.

The study was nosed on the highest and lowest proportion of vocal supporters on Twitter

The research looked at the number of followers each team has and the amount of mentions each team received in order to calculate how passionate each individual fan is.

Jose has previously been public in his disappointment with the Chelsea fans, admitting he is keen on the Palace supporters' efforts.

And Chelsea came out with the least passionate fans, with a rating of just 0.12.

But who is top? Whose fans are the most passionate? Is it Manchester United, or are Arsenal fans the most intense? Could it be Liverpool fans or maybe Crystal Palace, with their amazing displays and banners?

Yes it's Burnley! Despite finishing bottom of the table after just one season in the top flight the Clarets are top of our Alternative Table thanks to their brilliant fans.

Palace end up fourth with Everton second and Leicester third. Man United are down in 10th with Liverpool 15th and Arsenal 17th, proving that winning trophies and being near the top doesn't equate to social media passion.
