Rafa Benitez will bid to sign Laurent Koscielny when he takes charge of Real Madrid, according to reports in the Daily Star.
The former Liverpool manager has reportedly already drawn up a transfer wish-list - despite the fact he hasn't yet been unveiled as the new Bernabeu boss.
Arsene Wenger could use Madrid's interest in Koscielny to his advantage and attempt to instigate a swap deal which would see Karim Benzema go the other way.
Benzema, 27, has scored 22 goals for Real this season.
