Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea is keeping tight-lipped about his future.

The 24-year-old is expected to join Real Madrid when the summer transfer window opens, but gave nothing away as he was hounded by a Spanish journalist.

Asked by a reporter whether he had anything to say about Madrid, De Gea responded: "I can't talk."

The persevering journalist then followed the Spaniard down a high street before asking: "Would you like to play in Madrid or not?"

De Gea didn't respond to that question, which will leave United fans fearing for the future of their star player.

However, despite the uncertainty surrounding him, Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal is confident De Gea will stay in Manchester.

Prior to Sunday's draw with Hull, Van Gaal said: "I still believe David will stay. And I want to play him against Hull, because I want to play my strongest team. And I think my strongest team must include David.”

De Gea ended up missing the clash with Hull with a hamstring injury as his countryman Victor Valdes, 33, made his full debut for United.
