Nathaniel Clyne could make Manchester United move

Nathaniel Clyne is set to snub Southampton’s demand to commit his future to them in order to hold out for a move to Manchester United.

Louis van Gaal has the England right-back in his plans and Clyne while Chelsea are also interested in a summer swoop.

Clyne has just a year left on his contract beyond the current campaign. Earlier this week Southampton boss Ronald Koeman gave him ten days to decide whether he wants to stay or not.

Clyne, however, is understood to prefer United and a link-up with his former Saints team-mate Luke Shaw.

The 24-year-old has made 31 appearances for the Saints this term, scoring twice.
