Shabana's woes continue with another FKF Premier League loss

St Joseph handed Shabana another 1-0 loss in an Football Kenya Federation (FKF) Premier League match at Afraha Stadium, yesterday.

After a barren first half, Peter Eshitemi scored for St Joseph in the 87th minute from the penalty spot.

Speaking after the match, Shabana coach James Nandwa blamed his players for failing to convert their chances.
"We had a number of chances but failed to convert. Demonde Selenga was very wasteful in front of goal," he said.

His counterpart Peter Njoroge admitted it was not an easy match but was grateful to have picked all three points at home.

"It was a hard match for us. Our opponents were difficult and we had to change strategy in the second half and it worked," he said.

In Mombasa, Zoo Kericho beat Modern Coast 2-1 to cement their place at the top of the standings with 20 points.

At Machakos Municipal Stadium, Finlays and Nairobi Stima played to a 2-2 draw. Finlays scored the fastest goal of the tournament through Samuel Kizito before Joseph Ademba added another one in the 77th minute. David Kang'ethe netted twice for Stima.

On Saturday, Ligi Ndogo drew 1-1 with Agro Chemicals at Ruaraka Stadium.
Ken Maritim scored the first goal for Ligi Ndogo in the fourth minute before Agro Chemicals levelled through Kennedy Kibet.

At Thika Municipal Stadium, Kariobangi Sharks thrashed hosts Bidco United 3-0. Rodgers Omondi, Eric Juma and Godfrey Shiveka scored a goal each for Sharks.

Speaking after the match, Kariobangi Sharks coach Mike Amenga praised his charges for picking such a huge win.
