"Chelsea won 1-0? The usual" - Arsene Wenger has sly dig at Jose Mourinho after Chelsea beat United

Arsene Wenger appeared to have a sly dig at Jose Mourinho after he learned of the result between Chelsea and Manchester United.

Mourinho's men recorded a 1-0 victory over Louis van Gaal's side on Saturday courtesy of a first-half strike by Eden Hazard.

The result has left the Blues 10 points clear of Arsenal at the top of the Premier League table ahead of their trip to the Emirates next weekend.

Gunners boss Wenger was quizzed on the significance of the result during a post-match interview following Arsenal's FA Cup win over Reading.

"I ignore completely what happened. Chelsea won 1-0? The usual," said Wenger with a shrug and a smile. "We will see next week."

Mourinho and Wenger have never had the best of relationships and the tension between the pair threatened to boil over earlier in the season when the duo's two sides met at Stamford Bridge.

Wenger, 65, was riled up after he took exception to a heavy challenge by Chelsea defender Gary Cahill during his team's 2-0 defeat at the Bridge.

He confronted Mourinho on the touchline before pushing the Portuguese - an action which he later apologised for.
