Ospina urges Arsenal team-mates to step up Premier League pursuit of Manchester City

David Ospina has urged his Arsenal team-mates to focus on themselves as they bid to hunt down second-placed Manchester City.

The Gunners put the disappointment of their Champions League defeat to Monaco behind them with a 2-0 win over Everton on Sunday that dragged them to within four points of faltering City.

And Ospina refused to rule out the possibility of catching Manuel Pellegrini’s side after they eased to their seventh home win in a row in the Premier League.

“For now we are just thinking about ourselves,” said Ospina.

“We’ll keep doing our job and picking up points and then we’ll see what happens.

“It’s game after game and we know we’re close to them now. But we need to concentrate on ourselves and not think about them.”
