As the curtains come down to the eight-leg series rally this year, nothing short of high-adrenaline action is expected tomorrow in Naivasha.

With this year’s Guru Nanak Rally being used as a yardstick to determine champions in their respective KNRC classes, SportPesa rally team, Leonardo Varese with his navigator Kigondu Kariathi, are aiming for nothing less than retaining their title. The two are currently the country’s three-time champions of the two-wheel drive category of the KCB Safari Rally.

The SportPesa Rally team only need to finish the rally to be crowned champions in their 2WD category.

The Rally headquarters for the event will be centered at the Buffalo Mall in Niavasha. Documentation and scrutineering is scheduled for today at the Buffalo Mall.

The flag-off will take place outside KCB Naivasha branch tomorrow 2014, while the prize giving ceremony will be conducted at Bufffalo Mall in Naivasha.

“SportPesa Rally team is more than prepared, having done major repairs on the ex-David Horsey Toyota Corolla RSI to ensure spectators are treated to a hair thrilling experience,” SportPesa, Esther Kangethe told FeverPitch.

“The drivers and navigators have trained well for the event, having completed recceing this week. We, at SportPesa, are happy with the team and are looking forward to a successful rally,” said Kangethe.

SportPesa, Kenya’s Premier online and mobile betting platform, is committed to promoting sporting activities in Kenya, nurturing talent and offering opportunities to Kenyans to profit from their passion for sports.

They have dominated mobile betting platforms since the beginning of the year.
