Former Gor Mahia striker Edwin Lavatsa is yet to get a club weeks after top Algerian side MC Algiers discontinued his two-year contract.
Lavatsa is among 14 players who were dropped by the Algerian club two months ago for non-performance and remains in danger of staying out for at least six months without active football. He was spotted at Nyayo National Stadium on Sunday watching the derby between his former club and AFC Leopards.
"I am not fully healed, but I expect to fly out to Belgium soon where I have been invited for trials," he said.
Lavatsa will also be available for selection when national team Harambee Stars takes on Lesotho in the return Africa Cup of Nations qualifier this Sunday.
