The Commonwealth Games have coincided with the 13th Glasgow’s cultural extravaganza – the Merchant City Festival – which will spread out for the 11 days of action. It promises a flamboyant fiesta of spectacular entertainment within the heart of Glasgow. The Merchant City is home to magnificent architecture, some of the country’s finest restaurants, bars and design-led retailers and outstanding cultural venues. It’s renowned for its street theatre and outdoor performances. Its amazing arts line-up includes comedy, drama, film, fashion, tours and walks and expects the crowds here to experience the electric atmosphere.
