Arsenal’s 32-year old Brazilian playmaker Willian also visited Salt Bae during the international break, following his omission from the national team's matches with Venezuela and Uruguay.
Willian was pictured in Dubai with Salt Bae on Instagram. However, coronavirus restrictions in England suggested he should have stayed in London.
Willian insisted he had not broken any rules with manager Mikel Arteta promising to deal with the issue internally.
Under COVID-19 restrictions in the UK, international travel is not permitted apart from for limited purposes such as work or education. However, the UAE is not on the UK's quarantine list, therefore, Willian was able to return to training.
"Whatever happens with things we don't expect we will try to resolve them internally. That's been dealt with and explained. We had a conversation and I explained what I was expecting. For every player there are a lot of personal factors at the moment," Arteta said at his pre-match press conference on Friday.
