Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has warned Man Utd's Premier League rivals that his fearsome front three are only just getting started after they each got on the scoresheet against Bournemouth.

Marcus RashfordAnthony Martial and Mason Greenwood (2) all netted in United's 5-2 victory at Old Trafford on Saturday.

The trio now have 55 goals between them in all competitions this season, more than Liverpool's outstanding front three who have clocked up 51.

More promising for United is perhaps the relative youth of all three stars, with Martial, 24, two years older than Rashford, 22, while Greenwood, 18, is only in his breakthrough season.

Speaking after the match, Solskjaer said: "They will improve and we’ve seen they have improved a lot this season, all three of them, in different parts of their game.

"Marcus is on course to [achieve] his best season and Anthony is the same but they can and will still improve.

"They know there’s things I want them to improve and we will keep on working.

"It's Mason’s first season but we’ve always known there’s a special kid there."

It was Greenwood who helped spark United into life after they had fallen behind to Junior Stanislas' opener

The youngster smashed a hard left-footed drive past Cherries' stopper Aaron Ramsdale to level the scoring, before Rashford put United ahead from the penalty spot.

Martial then curled in a superb effort before half-time, as Greenwood completed his brace the other side of a Josh King penalty.

Greenwood's second was straight out of the top drawer too, as he shifted past a Bournemouth defender before firing into the top corner.

Bruno Fernandes completed the rout soon after, but it was Greenwood who received special praise from his boss post-match.

“I’ve seen Wayne Rooney, of course, at the same age but Mason is a specialist finisher, a specialist goalscorer and if he shoots it’s because he thinks he can score," Solskjaer said.

“I don’t want to compare Mason to Wazza or Cristiano Ronaldo — he will create his own career and is doing it his own way.

"They've had fantastic careers, both of them, and I’m sure if Mason keeps on doing the right things, making good decisions, he will have a fantastic career as well."
