Kenyan TikToker Chebet Ronoh recently shared a personal experience that left her regretting her decision to date a much older and wealthy man.

In a viral TikTok video posted on April 5, 2023, she opened up about the challenges of being involved with a mubaba, an older man who provides financial support to a younger woman, often married.

Chebet opened up about the challenges of dating a sugar daddy, saying that it was not as easy as some people may think. She expressed her discomfort in giving "sugar" to a man who was old enough to be her grandfather.

"You guys consistently sleep on the girls having sugar daddies and it's not easy. Let me tell you why. It's not easy! It's not easy to give sugar to a corpse," said Chebet.

Chebet went on to describe the awkwardness she felt while dining with the old man in public. People were staring at her, and she could feel their judgmental looks as if they were saying, "this is where you're at, really? This is who you are?"

Chebet also shared her experience of trying to have a conversation with the man she was dating. According to her, the man was asking her philosophical questions from BC (before Christ), and it felt like a whole job interview. She compared the experience to filling out governmental forms. The waitress was also looking at her with judgmental eyes, which made her feel embarrassed.

However, the most awkward part of the date came when it was time to give the "sugar" to the man. Chebet mimicked the old man's lips and said she couldn't do it. She leaned back to avoid him and said, "no, no, no."

She said that the experience required a different level of confidence and delusion, which she did not possess at that time. She concluded by saying that she would never do it again.

"I'm never doing this again. It needs a different confidence and delusion and I'm not there right now, I can't," she said.
