Kenya Cup: Sketta ready for debut as Kabras Sugar chase third consecutive win

Rising star Jackson Sketta who impressed during the National Sevens Circuit a few months ago will be making his debut for Kabras Sugar on Saturday when the Kenya Cup defending champions take on Kisumu RFC at the Kakamega Showgrounds from 2pm.
Sketta who features for the Kenya Under-20 rugby team was voted the Most Valuable Player (MVP) for the Dala Sevens after helping the sugar men to the title.
The former KSSSA national rugby sevens and East Africa rugby sevens champion with Koyonzo Secondary School is among the six changes Kabras coach Carlos Katywa has made as the Kenya Cup heavyweights chase a third consecutive win.
Kabras are currently third on the log with 10 points same as second placed Menengai Oilers and leaders KCB who have superior point difference.
Sketta will join Kenya Simbas duo of Griffin Chao and Alfred Orege who will man the wings as Fijian-born full back Jone Kubu commands the fly half position vacated by Eric Cantona out with a knock.

Another youngster Roy Maruti retains his place in the starting lineup, making his third straight Kenya Cup appearance.
Meanwhile, Emmanuel Otieno, Eugine Sifuna, and Ephraim Oduor will replace Edward Mwaura, Teddy Akala, and Asuman Mugerwa in the front row.
The midfield partnership of Walter Okoth and Hillary Salano remains unchanged for a third consecutive match.
Hillary Odhiambo maintains the second row alongside Patrick Lumumba, who returns in place Clinton Litali, who drops out after back-to-back starts.
Gabriel Adero makes his second start of the season, while captain George Nyambua steps out of the squad.
Collins Indeche earns his third straight appearance, and Jeanson Misoga makes his second of the season.
The Sugar men begun the season with a 33-6 win over Impala before crushing newbies South Coast Pirate 45-3 last weekend in Diani.
