Kenya Cup: Kabras Sugar arrest South Coast Pirates in Diani

Kabras Sugar picked their second win of the 2024-2025 Kenya Cup season after thrashing newbies South Coast Pirates 45-3 at Estadio De Seacrest in Diani on Saturday.

Jone Kubu got the sugar men off to a good start after crossing over the white wash after 12 minutes of play, a try that Erick Cantona converted for 7-0 lead.

Teddy Akala made his mark, touching down the visitors second try of the day for 14-0 after Cantona's conversion before Griffins Chao made it 19-0.

Kubu converted this time round to send Kabras 21-0 up at half time.

In the final half, Kubu who begun the raid in the opening half got the second half underway with a corner post try that Cantona could not convert to push the scores to 26-0.

Debutant Roy Maruti followed Kubu's footsteps to stretch the scores to 31-0, this time the Fijian splitting the posts for 33-0.

Captain George Nyambua also joined in on the party, with his try converted by Kubu for 40-3 lead. Pirates had scored a penalty for consolation.

Another new star Manu Adhanja got his first try for the club, sealing a 45-3 win for the sugar men.
