In a high-stakes battle for promotion to the Kenya Cup, Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) Rugby is gearing up to face off against Impala, while South Coast Pirates take on Daystar University Falcons in the KRU Championship semifinal playoffs.
The atmosphere is electric as rugby enthusiasts eagerly anticipate these crucial matchups, with the winners securing a direct ticket to the prestigious Kenya Cup for the upcoming 2024-2025 season. MMUST will host Impala in Kakamega, while South Coast Pirates will entertain Daystar in Diani.
MMUST coach John Asila expressed the team's determination and focus as they aim for promotion to the topflight league.
"Our target is crystal clear – we are fully focused on securing our place in the Kenya Cup. The players have shown immense dedication and resilience throughout the season, and we are ready to give our all in the semifinal clash against Impala," said Asila.

Leading the charge will be Javan Orlando and Ismael Karanja in the front row, supported by the dynamic duo of Collins Ngoko and Calvin Wabuyele in the second row.
