With the Siaya County Secondary School Term One games set to kick off on Thursday, St. Mary's School Yala's rugby team stands poised and confident in their bid to retain the coveted rugby 15s title.

The tournament, scheduled to kick off at Siaya MTC, promises thrilling matches and intense competition as schools from across the county vie for supremacy on the rugby field.

Yala head coach Kenneth Mukok of expressed the team's readiness and determination to defend their title.

"Since the beginning of the year, we have been diligently preparing both physically and mentally for the upcoming tournament," Mukok remarked.

"Our goal is clear: to maintain our status as champions and continue our legacy of rugby excellence."
