Kabras Sugar will host the 2023-2024 Kenya Cup final in Kakamega.

The defending champions grabbed the hosting rights by virtue of finishing top of the Kenya Cup standings with a game to spare ahead of the season finale next Saturday.

Kabras Sugar will welcome arch-rivals KCB Rugby at the Kakamega Showgrounds in the season finale clash as they look to maintain their unbeaten run.

Currently, the sugar millers sit top of the 12-team log with 50 points after winning all their 10 matches played with a bonus point.

On Saturday, Kabras came from behind to edge out a stubborn Blak Blad of Kenyatta University 24-17, a win that gifted them the ticket to host the Kenya Cup final.

Brian Mutua scored a brace as David Bunduki and Dan Angwech sealed the win for the sugar men.

According to the rules and regulations, the team that finishes top of the table at the end of the regular season will automatically earn the rights to host the final.

Previously, Kabras have hosted the finals in 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023.

The 2020 post-Covid finals was hosted in Nandi Bears where they lost to KCB before hosting the 2021 final at Kakamega Showground and losing again to KCB.

In 2022, Kabras hosted the final at The Bull Ring where they won their second ever Kenya Cup title after previously winning in 2016.

Last year, Kabras hosted the finals at the Kakamega Showgrounds where they stunned KCB to win their third Kenya Cup title.
