Two-time national rugby sevens champion Koyonzo Secondary School increased their chances of qualifying for the knockout stages of the Federation of East Africa Secondary School Sports Association (FEASSSA) rugby sevens finals after winning their opening match.
The Kakamega County and Western Region rugby champions humbled Kitondo Secondary School 38-0 to lead Group A followed by Kiira College from Uganda.
The Ugandans saw off London College 19-0.
In Group B, Vihiga High School are one win away from qualifying to the quarterfinals after seeing off Kenyan compatriots St Mary's School Yala 35-0 and GS Gitisi from Rwanda 26-0.
