Maseno School are the 2023 Kisumu County Secondary School rugby sevens champions.

This is after they thumped Nyabondo 28-0 to win the rugby sevens title in the finals played at Kisumu Boys High School grounds.

Speaking after their win, Maseno head coach Steve Oluoch said they have put behind their disappointments with their rugby 15s side and are looking forward to play in the nationals.

Maseno relinquished their Nyanza regional rugby 15s title to Kisii School after a controversial match played at Kisii School in Term One.

"We are playing very well. We won the county title unbeaten and that is a good sign for us as we start preparations for the regional games. It wont be easy but we are ready.

In Kisii County games, Kisii School saw off Cardinal Otunga Mosocho 19-5 to win the county title.

Back in Kisumu, Onjiko Boys on the other hand saw off Maseno 21-20 to win the boy's 3x3 before completing a double by winning the boys' volleyball title. They defeated Chulaimbo Boys 3-0.

Kisumu Day High School and Nyakach Girls High School won the football under-19 champions.

Kisumu Day saw off Onjiko High School 1-0 while Nyakach Girls humbled Nyakoko 5-0.

Nyakach also saw off Ngere Kagoro 26-3 in the first quarter to win the netball title. Ngere did not return to the pitch after the first quarter.

Nyakach also won the volleyball title after edging out Koru Girls 3-0. In basketball 3x3, Nyakach also emerged champions to complete four trophies after seeing off St Barnabas 21-7.
