KCB, Nakuru show Great Rift-10-a-side title intent

Former champions KCB and Nakuru RFC showed their intention to lift the 30th edition of Great Rift-10-a-side Championships title when they won their respective opening matches at Nakuru Athletic Club ON Saturday.
The bankers and home boys Nakuru won their first two matches,as they started their search for the title.
KCB walloped University of Nairobi' s Mean Machine 43-5 before thrashing Kibabii University 28-0.
"It wasn't easy to pick maximum points against the bankers but we gave it all but we lost to a better side. I wished the tournament could have come on Easter Holidays," Mean Machine coach Nick Abok told Standard Sports.
"That's when the flavour of the tournament is felt."

Jeff Okwach scored a hat trick of tries for KCB against the students, Isaac Njoroge (two) while Festus Shiyali, Eugene Sirima and Trevor Arina each touched down once with all the four conversions made by Njoroge.
Jaffer Bill Williams scored a consolation try or the students.
In their third match, KCB demolished Technical University of Kenya (TUK) 54-0.
Nakuru RFC thumped Kabarak University 38-0 before squeezing a 14-5 win over Kenyatta University's Blak Blad.
KCB's match against Nakuru this morning could decide the title winners in the round robin series.
Mean Machine made a come back to defeat Kibabii University 28-0 with an aim to finish within the medal bracket and thereafter whiewashed TUK 36-7.
In other matches, Blak Blad beat Kabarak University 29-7.
