Kabras Sugar humble Mean Machine to maintain perfect start to the season

Defending champions Kabras Sugar on Saturday picked their second win of the 2022-2023 Kenya Cup season after seeing off Mean Machine 41-0 in a round two Kenya Cup match played at the University of Nairobi Grounds.

The champions headed into the match behind their 40-13 opening day win over newbies Catholic Monks last week as Machine were nursing wounds from their 72-6 defeat at the hand of Menengai Oilers.

Teddy Akala got off the Kakamega based side to a perfect start after touching down two quick tries for a 12-0 lead before Alfred Orege ensured the sugar men will go to the break with a comfortable 24-0 lead.

In the final half, Kenya Simbas international Brian Tanga stretched the scored to 29-0 with an unconverted try before Valerian Tendwa made it 36-0 after Ntabeni Dukisa's conversion.

Jeason Musoga would seal the win for the visitors who head back to Western with a bonus point victory and a clean sheet.
In another match, newbies Catholic Monks lost their second consecutive match after going down 28-9 to Kenyatta University's Blak Blad.
