Defending champions Kabras Sugar will be seeking to register their second win in a row in the 2022-2023 Kenya Cup when they travel to play Mean Machine at the University of Naiorbi Grounds on Saturday.

The sugar men saw off Catholic University of Eastern Africa (Catholic Monks) 40-13 last week at the Kakamega Showgrounds to launch their title defense with a win.

"We played poorly during our second half of the season opening game. The youngsters were not experienced enough to close out the game as we gave out many penalties,' said Kabras coach Carlos Katywa.

"However, there is always room for improvement and we are sure that when all the senior players return from their rest we will be at a better position to start games well and finish them too."
After losing 72-6 to log leaders Menengai Oilers last weekend, the struggling Machines will be looking to get back on the winning track.

However, they will need to work harder since Kabras RFC, the current Kenya Cup champions, are a difficult team to beat.
In Nairobi, last season runners up Oilers face Kenya Harlequin at the RFUEA Grounds. Quins head into the match in the wake of their 38-0 defeat to KCB.
Elsewhere, the Nakuru Athletic Club will host another intriguing match between Nakuru RFC and Mwamba RFC
