KCB Rugby club retained the Impala Floodlight title after seeing off Nondescript 20-3 in a final played at Impala grounds on Saturday night.

Victory saw the bankers pick their ninth title to equal the University of Nairobi's Mean Machine's record of nine victories at the Impala Floodlit.
Oscar Sarano and veteran Andrew Amonde touched a try each of the mauls as Isaac Njoroge and Levy Amunga converted respectively. Njoroge added two penalties.

Salem Benson slotted over Nondies penalty as they missed three penalties and two-drop goals that could have won the match.

KCB punched a ticket to the final following hard-fought wins over Kenya Harlequin in the quarters with a narrow 14-10 scoreline and were also made to sweat in the last four by Kenyatta University's Blak Blad, emerging with a 14-3 win.

Nondies on the other hand had an impressive route to the final after whitewashing fellow Championship side Impala Saracens 33-7 and beating last season's Kenya Cup runners-up Menengai Oilers 16-11 in the semis.

Menengai Oilers finished third after they edged out Blak Blad from Kenyatta University 23-12 in the playoff.
Ahead of the new campaign, KCB will be aiming to recapture the Kenya Cup and Enterprise Cup titles they lost to Kabras Sugar.
