Rugby: Floodies draw set for today, Victoria 15s kicks off in Western Kenya

With the 2022/23 KRU league season set to kick off on November 26, clubs have an opportunity to gauge themselves during the preseason.
There will be opportunities with a number of preseason tournaments, most notably the Impala Floodlit tournament which kicks off on October 29.
This tournament, which was first played in 1983 returns for the first time since 2019, having not been played in 2020 and 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The official draw for the 2022 tournament will be conducted today at the Impala Club.
Over in Western Kenya, the inaugural Victoria 15s tournament kicks off today with pre-quarterfinal action across three venues in the region.

The Kakamega Bullring will host a double header that sees Mbale and Vihiga Granites face off in the early kickoff before hosts Western Bulls play Bungoma in the second fixture at the venue.
Kisumu will be up against Siaya at the Kisumu Polytechnic with Eldoret and Kitale squaring off at the Eldoret Sports Club. The winners of these clashes will advance to the tournament's quarterfinals set for October 29.
University of Eldoret, Kisii, Kabras Sugar and Masinde Muliro all have byes to the quarterfinal.
