Fijian born Kenya Simbas full back Jone Kubu scored a hat-trick to inspire Kabras Sugar to a 26-10 win over Nondescripts in a rescheduled Kenya Cup fixture played at the Kakamega Showground on Saturday.
Victory saw the millers maintain their 100 percent record in the league where they have now won all their opening eight matches.
The win puts Kabras on 40 points, four points ahead of second placed and defending champions KCB who defeated Mwamba 39-30 to leapfrog Menengai Oilers who slipped to third.
Kabras started the match on the back foot after gifting Nondies an easy penalty from an infringement which Tony Fidens drilled to take a 3-0 early lead.
Nondies lead was however short-lived after Kubu showed the visitors how it is done by splitting right through the middle of the Nondies defence to land the miller's first try which he converted for a 7-3 Kabras lead.

The hosts would then be dealt a blow after their talisman Kubu was sent to the sin bin.
Nondies failed to take advantage of their numerical superiority and it was Kabras who punished them with their strong and dominant forward pack which saw Eugine Sifuna ground the ball off a rolling maul.
Valerian Tendwa converted the try which saw Kabras take a 14-3 lead to the break.
In the final half, Kubu split the Nondies defence for the second time to extend Kabras Sugar's lead by five points after sending the conversion wide.
Moments later, Kubu grabbed his hat-trick, when he caught Nondies defence napping with a quick restart from a penalty to score before adding the extras to send the scores to 26-3.
Nondies would however have the last laugh of the game, when Tony Fidens intercepted a loose pass to race clear off defenders and score between the sticks to end the game 26-10 after conversion
