Last seasons’ Kenya Cup runners up Kabras Sugar RFC have confirmed three new additions to the squad ahead of the top tier league kick off on Saturday.
The sugar men have signed Steve Sakari Sikuta from Mwamba and utility back Vuyo Mbotho from South Africa.
Sakari is currently out with the Kenya Simbas on international duties while Mbotho is expected to join the Kabras backs lists ahead of this weekend’s kick off against Kenyatta University’s Blak Blad at Kakamega Showground.
Mbotho is expected to be part of the midfield department where he will fill the gap left by the injured centre Bryceson Agesa.
Mbotho, 33, was roped in from Border Bulldogs, a rugby club playing in South African league Currie Cup. He has also featured for Griffons and SWD Eagles where he made over 150 appearances.

Katywa has coached Border U/19 and U/20 teams, the University of Fort Hare before joining Varsity Shield side Rhodes where he has been serving as head coach since 2017.
Meanwhile, Jerome Muller has been appointed the head coach of Kabras for the upcoming new season.
Muller who doubles as the backs coach will join hands with fellow countryman Katywa in steering the team forward.
