Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST RFC) is confident of returning back to winning ways when they face defending champions KCB Rugby Club on Saturday at KCB Sports Club.

MMUST went down 24-10 last weekend against Menengai Oilers but assistant coach John Asila said they are ready to challenge bigwigs KCB.

Speaking to the The Standard Sports, Asila said they have learnt from their mistakes last weekend and they are looking forward to a tight match against the champions.

“It's not going to be an easy walk into the park but we are determined and focused on the match. My players have been training well week in week out trying to rectify some of the mistakes Oilers exposed and we are expecting a good game against the bankers,” he said.

KCB made eight changes to the starting squad ahead of the game with Griffin Musila, Davis Chenge, Samuel Asati, Isaac Njoroge, Peter Kilonzo and Darwin Mukidza all handed starts this weekend.

Three Kenya Cup matches are scheduled to be played in Nairobi even as sports ban continues to be implemented in the Western Region.

Nondies will play Strathmore Leos at KCB Sports Club early kick off match at 1pm to kick off the match day seven matches before the bankers encounter with the Kakamega based students.

At Impala Club, Impala RFC will welcome Mwamba RFC in the final game of the day.
