Mwamba RFC’s Victor Wayodi who collapsed on the pitch during a Kenya Cup game yesterday against Top Fry Nakuru has now passed on.

Victor Wayodi becomes the second player in the Kenya Cup to pass on after Nondescript's centre Ogeto Gecheo who died during a Kenya Cup game against Strathmore Leos on Saturday 3 December 2016.

Gecheo suffered a spinal injury in that match day five tie at Madaraka grounds and passed on two days after the game, in the wee of Tuesday 6 December.

Just like Gecheo, Wayodi was at Maseno School where he was the rugby team captain after which he moved to JKUAT.
