Leaders Menengai Oilers will host Kabras Sugar in a top of the table clash at ASK Showground in Nakuru as Kenya Cup enters match day eight on Saturday.

Oilers' 100 percent record face a critical examination against the sugar millers with both sides still unbeaten.

While terming the match as tricky, Kabras Sugar head coach Jerome Muller said he expects to be boosted by a return of some of his key players from injuries.

“Playing against Oilers is going to be tough considering the form they are in this season. We need to work everything to be perfect against them in lineouts and scrums because they have a very strong and heavy defensive pack,” Muller said.

Kabras have so far picked maximum points in all of their six games this season and they sit second on the log, three points behind Oilers, but with a game in hand.

A win for the sugar men will see them leapfrog Oilers at the top of the table; with a game in hand heading into playoffs.

Furthermore, Kabras head into the match with an advantage having thrashed the side 38-9 the last time they met in July last year in Nandi.

Record Kenya Cup champions, Nondescripts, with 17 titles to their name, are up against Top Fry Nakuru in a relegation zone battle.

Nondescripts come into the match placed bottom, having won just one of their six outings. They have five points, just two behind tenth placed Nakuru who registered their first win of the season last weekend when they edged Impala 29-27 in Nakuru.

Ten-time Kenya Cup champions Resolution Impala Saracens, who are eleventh and still in the relegation zone have all the work to do when they host in-form Mwamba at the Impala Club.

It is a make or break fixture for the Ngong Road side who have to win in the quest to ensure they avoid relegation.
