Defending champions KCB Rugby bagged their third win of the campaign after thrashing struggling Impala Saracens 47-0 in a Kenya Cup match staged at KCB Sports Club on Saturday.

In the process, the bankers handed Impala their fifth loss of the season after drilling in seven tries.

KCB who had dominated this fixture in the recent meeting kicked off the match on a high note after Felix Ojoo sped off a ruck and went on to touch down a try that was converted by Darwin Mukidza for a 7-0.

Returning former Shujaa captain Andrew Amonde doubled the bankers lead after touching down before Mukidza added the twos for a 14-0 lead at the breather.

After the restart, fullback Isaac Njoroge joined the scoresheet with KCB’s third try before Mukidza split the posts for 21-0 lead.

Peter Kilonzo also joined the party after crossing over for the bonus point try as the champions took a commanding 26-0 lead.

Mike Kimwele stretched the lead to 33-0 before Oscar Simiyu and Mannaseh Oduor added more tries that sealed KCB’s win.

Impala remain without a point after five matches played.
