France and Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has described his return to Old Trafford as a feeling of ‘coming back home’.

Pogba moved from Man United to Juventus in 2012 following a streak of omissions from the first team, which at the time was under the management of Sir Alex Ferguson.

After starring for Juventus for four years and emerging as one of Europe’s top talents, Pogba made a return to Manchester United on a world-record fee.

In his first season, he guided the team to Europa League and League Cup trophies.

He was also part of the squad that finished second in the league last season, 19 points behind eventual winner and derby rivals Manchester City.

Even though Pogba’s Man United return brought back life to a diminishing fanbase, he has not been lucky to escape criticism from fans and his manager.

Reports emerged earlier in the year about an alleged fallout with Jose Mourinho, with rumours flying around his agent, Mino Raiola, had already contacted interested clubs about a possible transfer.

However, Pogba has put all the rumours to rest with his latest comments.

He recently spoke to Inside United magazine and confessed how he longed to come back and play for Manchester United.

"When I came back, it was the best feeling ever. I came back home. I always dreamed of playing for United, to have many games and score goals. Nothing had really changed, except for maybe the team and the manager, but the rest of the club was the same,” revealed Pogba.

He went on to describe how his four-year stay in Turin felt:

“I just went on holiday! It was a great feeling to come back home. It was great to come back, to feel the air of Manchester. That has never changed,” he described.

Pogba’s comments have once again lifted a fanbase clouded with sadness following man United’s 3-1 defeat in the Manchester Derby.
