Jose Mourinho said he "couldn't care less" what Paul Pogba has to say after the Manchester United midfielder's scathing attack on the Tottenham boss.

Mourinho brought Pogba back to Old Trafford in a world record transfer back in 2016 and had a good relationship with the Frenchman.

But it wasn't long before things soured.

Pogba was stripped of the vice-captaincy at Man United in 2018 and there were regular problems between the duo from then on.

The Frenchman was recently asked about how things have changed at United since Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took over from Mourinho.

And Pogba didn't hold back.

"What I have now with Ole is different, he wouldn't go against the players," Pogba said on Sky Sports.

"He wouldn't go against the players. Maybe Ole wouldn't pick them, but it's not like he puts them on the side like they don't exist anymore. That's the difference between Mourinho and Ole.

"Once I had a great relationship with Mourinho, everybody saw that, and the next day you don't know what happened. That's the strange thing I had with Mourinho and I cannot explain to you because even I don't know. So, yeah."

Following Tottenham's 2-2 draw with Everton on Friday night, Mourinho was asked if he had any response to Pogba.

Mourinho replied: "I would like to say that I couldn't care less with what he says. I couldn't care less at all."
