Registrar of Political Parties Ann Nderitu has declined to confirm changes made in Jubilee Party, following the National Delegates Conference (NDC) convened by former president Uhuru Kenyatta a fortnight ago.

In a circular seen by The Standard, the RPP said that the Kenyatta-led faction failed to meet some of the requirements demanded by the Party's Constitution, including submitting documents.

"Following a review of the submitted documents, this office is unable to address the substance of the resolutions for non-submission of a duly signed list of attendance with identification Numbers (IDs) to ascertain the composition of the NDC and quorum in line with article 8.1(1) and 23 of the Jubilee Party constitution respectively," said Nderitu.

The RPP also cited "comprehensive minutes of the NDC meeting to determine the process and mode of election given that only an extract of minutes was submitted," as another reason for declining to effect the changes.

On May 22, former President and Jubilee Party leader Uhuru Kenyatta led a National Delegates Convention (NDC), from which they resolved to expel EALA Member of Parliament Kanini Kega, nominated MP Sabina Chege and Taita Taveta Member of Parliament Nelson Dzuya from the Jubilee Party.

The three were accused of pledging alliance to President William Ruto.

A day later, Nderitu issued a letter to Jubilee Deputy Secretary-General Joshua Kuttuny supporting the removal of Jeremiah Kioni, David Murathe, and Kagwe Gichohi from the party.

She stated that their removal was in accordance with the laws of the party, which Kioni's faction have failed to observe.
